Niagara Orthopedic Rounds is an accredited continuing medical education program designed to bring together family physicians, nurse practitioners, orthopedic surgeons and rehabilitation professionals from across the Niagara region.

Learning Objectives

Participants will recognize which orthopaedic conditions can be effectively managed in primary care using non-operative approaches

Participants will develop confidence in determining when referral to orthopaedic specialist is appropriate versus continued conservative care

Participants will identify clinical features that require urgent imaging, emergency assessment, or expedited specialist consultation

Participants will understand how non-operative interventions integrate into patient care pathways prior to surgical consultations

Participants will enhance communication with orthopaedic specialists and allied health providers to support efficient and coordinated patient care
